T In The Park
When: 11–14 July
Where: Strathclyde Country Park, North Lanarkshire
With Mumford & Sons, Rihanna, The Killers and the nation’s own Emeli Sandé performing at Scotland’s biggest festival this year, it’s one party not to be missed!
Rockness
When: 7-9 June
Where: Near Inverness in the Scottish Highlands
Staying true to its name with a line up including Basement Jaxx, Plan B, Example, Madness, The Vaccines, Bombay Bicycle Club, Ben Howard, The Maccabees, and many more. Remember to pack your military jackets and ponchos for this one!
British Summer Time
When: 5-14 July
Where: Hyde Park, London
While tickets are sold out for this one, you may be able to get close enough to the park to see the lights of the Rolling Stones, Mick Jaggeer, Bon Jovi and Elton John. And who knows, maybe you’ll get lucky enough to spot Will and Kate during your trip to London.
Wilderness
When: 8-11 August
Where: Cornbury Park in Oxfordshire
This is for the music and art lovers out there. This outside festival is about 70 miles outside of London and easily accessible via public transit. According to Huffpost UK, Legendary Detroit troubadour Rodriguez, a musician lost and found again – whose story was told in the Academy Award-winning documentary ‘Searching For Sugar Man’ – will take to the main stage while Empire of the Sun will be headlining this epic festival.
V Festival
When: 17-18 August
Where: Hylands Park, Chelmsford and Weston Park, South Staffordshire
Headlining is none other than the Queen B herself. Score yourself a chance to see Beyonce this year at V Festival. Others to see are Kings of Leon, Stereophonics, Emeli Sande, Basement Jaxx, Olly Murs and many more. Party goers also get to choose from two locations, Hylands Park in Chelmsford and Weston Park in South Staffordshire.
