Black Friday is one of the biggest shopping days in the world and of course, we have great deals across our tours and flights but to be a little fun, we decided to turn the world dark! Not literally of course, but in celebration of Black Friday we picked out our top destinations that are either black or have ‘black’ in their name…
Unwind on the sand
When you imagine a beach, you imagine golden sands, right? Well, it’s about time you tried lounging on a black beach, we can guarantee you will be just as relaxed there, especially when they’re as beautiful as Waianapanapa Black Sand Beach in Maui!
Take a dip in the sea
We’re sure we’re not the only ones that thought the Black Sea was named so because it was actually black? Whatever colour you thought it was, the land bordering this vast body of water is one not to miss from your to-do list! Explore the beautiful Bulgarian coast while you lounge in the sun and dine next to the sea – bliss.

Time to dine!
If you want to eat in the pitch black, well, you can! Dans Le Noir, a restaurant where guests eat a surprise menu in the dark, is open in countries across Europe including Paris, London, Barcelona and Madrid. Enjoy a meal with strangers while gaining awareness about blindness and disability.
Get lost in a forest
The Black Forest in Southwest Germany isn’t actually black… It’s a dense evergreen forest associated with Brothers Grimm fairy tales which I guess makes it pretty “dark”… Whatever the case may be, all we know is it’s pretty and has cute little villages and wait for it, VINEYARDS!

Get some altitude
If you’d rather have your head in the clouds than hit the beach or the woods, then the Black Mountains in South Wales could be for you. Get ready for brisk breezes and potential rain but don’t worry, the views, fresh air and traditional British pubs are enough of a persuasion!
Bring out your wild side
If animals are more your style then head to sub-Saharan Africa for the black mamba. More grey/dark brown in colour and venomous, while we wouldn’t recommend seeking one of these guys out, we would recommend checking out the countries it lives in. Head to Ethiopia for wildlife, historic treasures and breath-taking landscapes.
