1. Holroyd Park, Edinburgh

You can find Holroyd Park in central Edinburgh, fairly close to the famous Princess Street and Edinburgh Castle. The royal park is well worth a a visit, boasting beautiful hills, lochs, glens, ridges, basalt cliffs and amazing sunsets.

If you know your Romanticist landscape painters, then you’ll have heard of J.M.W Turner. If you appreciate art, google him. Why am I talking about this?! Oh yes… because his paintings are inspired by Margate. A lovely seaside destination, with lovely sunsets.

Snowdonia is a region in northwest Wales, home to Mount Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales. Head here for amazing nature, landscapes and views across the sea to Ireland.

Stonehenge is one of the most famous landmarks in the UK/world! Archaeologists estimate that it was constructed from 3000 BC to 2000 BC, where boulders were cut into shape and placed in a circular formation. But how? Why? You’ll be blown away by the amazing history, and if you catch a good day you’ll experience an unforgettable sunset.

The Seven Sisters is a series of chalk, yes CHALK cliffs! Located in Sussex you can get some great snaps of the cliffs and the English Channel. But don’t wait around, they are gradually being eroded by the sea, losing 30 or 40 centimetres each year.

7. Eilean Donan, Scotland

Wouldn’t it be cool to see the sun set over a plaid Scottish loch (no monsters present) by a picturesque castle? Well, you can. Just head to Eilean Donan, in the western Highlands of Scotland. Kilt and bagpipes not necessary, but will make the photo even more special.
