Last summer we followed ASOS insider Shope Delano on her Croatian sailing trip from Split, through the islands of Hvar and Bol, then on to Dubrovnik. Along the way, we stopped off at hidden beaches, got loose on party islands and explored ancient cities. Does life really get much better than that?
Here’s a little rundown of her time spent sailing one of the most picturesque coastlines in the world…
Time for take off
Leaving behind the dreariest weather on a plane bound for Eastern Europe!
Day 1: Welcome aboard
Meeting the skipper and the rest of the group aboard the sailing yacht…
Snorkelling around the beautiful island of Bobovisca. What a name for such a paradise.
Discovering secluded pebble beaches perfect for beach BBQs, and full of prime spots to leap into the Adriatic.
Day 2: Hiking up mountains…
Take the wheel! Learning to sail… away into a romantic sunset.
Day 3: Hvar
Hvar is a glamorous island with some awesome nightlife – check out Carpe Diem, Prince Harry’s favorite hangout *swoons*. For those of you that aren’t a member of the Royal family (and don’t plan on marrying into it after you meet the love of your life in a fancy yacht club in Hvar), Hula Hula is a very cool beach bar, perfect if you’re on a bit of a backpacker budget.
The most amazing seafood fro a steal…
Day 4: Soaking up the culture in Dubrovnik
No, we’re not jealous of ASOS insider Shope’s trip at all.
Probably the most perfect way to see Croatia is on board a sailing yacht. Tempted? Click here to see our full range of European sailing trips, at the best prices you’ll be able to find.
