Day 1-2 Toronto / Thousand Islands / Montreal
It all begins with a drive down the Trans-Canada Highway toward Montreal, the City of Festivals. First up is the Big Apple (no, not New York), where they’ve made three million apple pies. After lunch, cruise through the Thousand Islands and arrive into Montreal early evening. The city is also home to the largest French speaking population outside of Europe – put those French lessons to the test as you head out to the many restaurants and bars in the evening. With a free day to explore on Day 2, browse the local boutique shops or just watch the world go by while sipping a coffee in a quirky café.

Day 3-4 Quebec City
On route to Quebec City, stop off at Mauricie Park and Montmorency Falls – an incredible waterfall that’s even higher than Niagara Falls! Once in the city, you’ll have two days to stroll around the cobblestone streets and take in the sights and smells of quaint cafes, vibrant street musicians, fantastic local art and delicious food – what more could you want?

Day 6 Ottawa

En route, stop off at Omega Park to see all its furry inhabitants, from bears, buffalo, and wapiti through to deer, wolves, boars and moose – cameras at the ready! Arrive into Ottawa at around 3pm then take a walking tour of the city and historic Parliament Hill. You’ll definitely be ready for dinner and drinks at the Byward market in the evening!

Day 7-8 Fort Coulonge
Arrive at Esprit lodge in the early evening and have a barbeque feast of salmon or steak (or a vegetarian option!) waiting for you. Get a good night’s sleep as it’s up and at ‘em for 7.30am for a day of river rafting and boarding. If you’d rather stay at the lodge, there are plenty of outdoor activities to keep you occupied for the day. In the evening, tuck into a delicious meal and relax on the patio with a cold beer.
