Tour style – Culture & History

4 days

From beautiful Amman to the ancient and wonderful UNESCO World Heritage site of Petra, this four day trip will get you out and about into Jordan’s greatest areas. Rich in history and culture, you’ll be able to set foot on the likes of Madaba’s Church of St George, float in the warm, salty waters of the Dead Sea, and explore dramatic Shobak Castle. Jordan is the Middle East like you’ve never seen! And trust us, you need to.
  • Day 1 Amman

You’ll be picked up from the airport by your friendly guide and will be driven straight to your hotel. After check in, get out and explore the city! Wander around leafy residential districts, trendy cafes and bars, and impressive art galleries – there’s plenty to occupy your time!

  • Day 2 Madaba / Mount Nebo / Dead Sea / Petra

This morning kicks off with an early breakfast before an 8am departure. First stop is Madaba and St George’s Church – you’ll get to see the oldest Mosaic map of Jerusalem! Next, hit the road again for a trip to Mount Nebo, the alleged burial place of Moses before continuing on to the incredible Dead Sea. Cram in as much swimming (well, floating) and mud wrapping time as you can – it’s an experience you’ll never forget (and the sea salt will stay with you for a few days). In the afternoon, continue on to Shobak Castle. Perched in a wild, remote landscape, this dramatic castle will give you a few incredible pictures. After a busy day of sightseeing, you’ll arrive into Petra around 6pm, just in time for dinner.

  • Day 3 Petra

Time waits for no man (or woman!) on this trip – the day starts at 7am so you’re going to have to get up pretty early to grab some breakfast. Head out on a half day city tour of ancient Petra – one of the world’s top wonders, this vast city, carved into the dusty rose rock face by the Nabataeans, is one of the greatest ancient cities you’ll ever see – you have to see it to believe it! Enjoy a spot of horse riding before heading to Wadi Rum for an exhilarating two hour jeep tour through the desert. Hang out with some local Bedouins before making your way back to Amman by around 7pm.

  • Day 4 Amman

After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to Queen Alia International airport – you’re going home, which will feel so inadequate in comparison. Don’t worry – there are return flights!
