The Sydney skyline looks pretty awesome on a normal night, but it will be lighting up again for the annual Vivid Sydney light and music festival. Each year Sydney is transformed by light and music installations throughout the entire city. So if you are travelling to Australia from 27 May – 18 June, make sure you stop by to see the city in a new light!

Highlights
For the most spectacular views, climb Sydney’s Harbour Bridge. Not for the fainthearted, this is the perfect spot for you to see the installations on the iconic Sydney Opera House and to take in the sights of the illuminated Sydney Harbour and CBD.
For the first time ever BridgeClimb Sydney has installed a dancefloor at the top. Yep, you can get your groove on at the top of the Harbour Bridge! Pretty awesome, hey?
Available every night of the light festival on the BridgeClimb (3.5 hrs) and BridgeClimb Express (2.25hrs), so no excuses – put your climbing vest on, enjoy the sights and dance the night away.
Feeling confident and want to show the world? At Eyes On The Harbour you can have your face displayed on giant water screens at Darling Harbour and you can get a copy emailed to you as a souvenir. We promise, your friends will be super jealous!
If you are still high on adrenaline after your BridgeClimb and have energy left after all that fun, don’t worry, you can rave it off at The Velvet Cave Rave ─ to a mix of mind-blowing art and light projections and live electronic music.
Vivid Ideas
Vivid is not only about music and lights — it’s also about ideas, and if you feel like your brain cells are capable of a workout after all that lazing by the beach and, let’s admit it, drinking too much goon, Vivid Ideas is just the right thing for you.

We love that House of Cards screenwriter and playwright, Beau Willimon, will be on stage at the Game-Changer talk series together with Spike Jonze, film director of Being John Malkovich ─ perfect if you want to learn more about this oh-so-scandalous show and bonkers movie.
Want to take over the world one day? At Vivid Ideas you can also choose from plenty of courses to improve your skills in your desired area.
What Else is New?
The Royal Botanic Garden turns 200 and is putting on an even bigger show, so head to the ‘Garden of Light.’ Imagine over 100,000 LED lights and installations up to 60 meters long. Sounds impressive, huh?!

You may already have plenty of snaps of Sydney Opera House but the famous sails are the star of Vivid and for the first time, the focus will be on Oz’ heritage with light projections from six renowned indigenous artists on display. Who says you aren’t cultured?
