Lycian Way Trekking

Day 1 Fethiye

Welcome to Fethiye! The remainder of the day is free to explore this bustling coastal town. At 6pm there will be a welcome meeting where you will meet fellow group members. After the meeting, choose to join the CEO and the group for an optional dinner at a local restaurant.

Additional Notes:
You can catch the public airport bus to Fethiye from Dalaman Airport, and get off in front of the Fethiye post office. The hotel is located just behind the post office. The travel time from the Dalaman Airport to Fethiye is about 30-45 mins.

Day 2 Fethiye/Faralya (1B)

The Lycian Way is the longest trekking route in all of Turkey, covering nearly 500km (311 mi) from Fethiye to Antalya, and is widely regarded as one of the finest treks in the world. Set off today for the first taste of this walk.

Additional Notes:
Our accommodation in Kabak is very basic – simple huts with shared bathrooms – but the cliff-top views and homey atmosphere cannot be beaten!

Day 3 Faralya/Kabak (1B)

After a short public transfer to Ovacik, walk in the shadow of Mt Babadag on clearly marked paths alongside the beautiful Turkish coastline. Head back to Kabak for the night.

Day 4 Kabak (1B)

Begin the day exploring an old abandoned Greek village before trekking to the famous blue lagoon of Oludeniz for a refreshing swim.

Day 5 Kabak/Kalkan (1B)

Trek past ancient aquaducts and small farming villages before exploring the historic Lycian city of Patara. Continue the journey on foot right down to Patara beach, where there is time to relax.

Day 6 Kalkan/Ka? (1B)

The atmospheric route along the Lycian winds its way through fields and villages before returning to Kalkan.

Day 7 Ka? (1B)

In the morning, transfer to the idyllic Mediterranean fishing village of Kas where the rest of the day is free to relax. Kas is an activity centre, so there are a number of active options available. Opt to take a boat tour over the sunken ruins of the city of Kekova, or, if feeling more adventurous, explore by sea kayak.

Overnight in Kas.

Day 8 Ka? (1B)

After breakfast, the CEO can arrange an individual or group transfer to Dalaman Airport, which is the most convenient airport to depart from.

Additional Notes:
If you want to make your own way, you can take a bus to the Fethiye Bus station and there are regular airport shuttle buses to Dalaman Airport. The trip may take up to 4 hrs from Kas to Dalaman Airport. The private transfer is up to 6 people and approx. TRY270-300. The local bus is approx. TRY40-50 p/p.
