Think of the stereotypical winter image. Likely there’ll be snow, a glowing fire place, a hot drink and fairy-tale castles. Perhaps there’ll also be an ice rink, skiing, and big bustling markets. Are we right? Well if that’s your winter stereotype, then this is your chance to live it. Visit the biggest and best winter cities in Europe. Avoid queues and peak season prices. You can jump into outdoor thermal baths in Budapest, drink in the grand beerhalls of Munich and ski in the Austrian Alps. It wont take you long to realise that stereotypes are sometimes the best. 
  • Itinerary

    Day 1 – Paris to Amsterdam Meet your Busabout guide at Gare Du Nord station at 07:15am for your morning train to Amsterdam. After check in, your guide will take you on an orientation walk through the Amsterdam and to the heart of Dam Square. Orientate yourself before setting off to enjoy some free time to explore all this diverse city has to offer.
    Meet up again to enjoy a fun evening with a Welcome Dinner, where you will get to know your fellow travellers! Before we headout into the night for a stroll through the famous Red Light District and evening entertainment.
    Day 2 – Amsterdam This morning we have an included bike tour of the city, then you are free explore many of Amsterdam’s most famous sites and museums. History buffs can visit the Anne Frank museum and hear the full story of Nazi Occupation in The Netherlands or take a stroll through the Rijksmuseum to learn more about Dutch national culture. For the art lovers, a visit to the Van Gough Museum cannot be missed, or for those looking to keep the party going, check out Amsterdam’s Heineken Brewery!
    Day 3 – Amsterdam to Berlin We say your final farewell to Amsterdam, as after breakfast we depart for the dynamic and diverse Berlin! Travelling through the German countryside, there is a great opportunity to lose yourself in green rolling valleys and hills. On arrival in Berlin, we check in to our accommodation before heading out for an evening of discovery and entertainment. Starting with an orientation walk of the former East German Alexanderplatz. Wth our stomachs rumbling, we’ll look to fill our bellies with traditional pork knuckle and sourcrout. Before we turn it up a notch and head out to discover the best of Berlins nightlife and underground bars on the optional pub crawl.
    Day 4 – Berlin Today is your day to explore the best of Berlin. You can see the last remains of the Berlin Wall, Checkpoint Charlie, Hitler’s Bomb Shelter, Holocaust Memorial, Brandenburg gate and the East Side Gallery. This evening why not take the opportunity to immerse yourself in Berlin’s house or hard rock music scene at one of a multitude of nightclubs.
    Day 5 – Berlin to Prague An early start as after breakfast we are bound for the Bohemian Capital, Prague. On arrival and after check in we take a orientation and walking tour of Prague Old Town and the splender of the Charles Bridge. Be ready to be amazed by Prague’s stunning outlook and the unique Astronomical Clock in the Town Square. Then its free time to explore the city as you please. Join your guide this evening for an optional dinner and evening of entertainment Czech style.
    Day 6 – Prague
    Today is free for you to explore all Prague has to offer. Take a tram up to one of Europes largest castles, Prague Castle. Offering amazing views of the city and some insight into the historical significance of this European icon. You can take a cruise along the river for a slightly different perspective or check out the Jewish quarter and cemetry, famous for its multi layered graves. For something different, you might like to take a optional day trip to Kutna Hora to visit the eerily and bizzar Bone Church. Tonight you can join your guide for an optional dinner and drinks with the locals.
    Day 7 – Prague to Budapest After breakfast we depart Prague for another of Eastern Europe’s most diverse and amazing cities, Budapest. After checkin, dress up and get ready for a big night out as we take on the ‘Budapest Extravaganza’. We take a 2hr dinner cruise along the Danube river and as night falls, we take our first glimpse of this majestic and once all powerful capital city. Once we’re back on terraferma, we head out to dicover the infamous underground nightlife Budapest has become known for.
    Day 8 – Budapest Today you are free to explore the city. We will take an included guided walking tour in the morning, before you will have free time to experience all Budapest has to offer. You can climb to Castle Hill for an unbelievable view of the 2 cities below, or take a stroll though the Central Market to sample some Hungarian delicacies. The Chain Bridge, connecting Buda and Pest is a must see for its cultural and historical significance. Tonight why not join your guide for a visit and soak in  Budapest’s famous Thermal Baths.
    Day 9 – Budapest to Salzburg Have your beanies and scarves at the ready, as after breakfast we depart for our Winter Wonderland in the Austrian Alps. As we travel through snow capped mountains and white valleys, you will get the chance to see some of Europe’s most picturesque landscapes.  On arrival we will sample some local schnapps.
    Day 10 – Salzburg Today is yours to have a true European Winter experience. You can join the locals in skiing and snowboarding on the slopes, or just spend the day making snowmen and throwing snowballs at each other. For those not interested in snow sports, join your guide for an optional day of hiking and exploring the local area. Tonight we warm ourselve and recap the days adventures over optional dinner and drinks.
    Day 11 – Salzburg to Munich This morning we take another scenic trip through the Austrian Alps and back into Germany to our final destination, Munich! After check in, we take an orientation walk of the Bavarian Capital, including a visit to the world famous Glockenspiel in Marienplatz. You’ll will have free time to explore the local shops and market vendors, plus some of Munich’s best sites including the English Garden or climb the steps of the Frauenkirche Cathederal for the best views of the city. Before we head off to induldge in the traditional pork knuckle and stein at one of the worlds best beer halls!
    Day 12 – Munich  It’s a sad goodbye, as your trip officially ends after breakfast. While in Munich, you may like to take the chance to visit Neuschwanstein Castle, the inspiration for Disney’s Castle, a fantastic optional day trip. Alternatively, a visit to Dachau Concentration Camp on the outskirts of Munich is a must see for history buffs.
