Pick somewhere different to go for your next adventure – like, really different. These ten days in the gorgeous northern half of the Philippines will stay with you forever. Meander down the streets of Manila, trek through remote villages to see stunningly green rice terraces, learn about unusual and historic traditions like the hanging coffins of Sagada, and then wrap it all up by blissing out on the tiny beach paradise of Borocay Island, which may honestly have some of the best beaches you’ve ever seen. We swear.
  • Day 1 Manila

    Arrive at any time.

  • Day 2 Baguio (1B)

    Travelling north via public bus, and enjoy an orientation walk upon arrival. Opt to visit a healer or get a massage.

    This buzzing mountain town is situated at an altitude of 1,500m and has a much cooler climate than the lowlands consequently was used as the summer capital by US troops when the Philippines was an American colony. The town is famous for its faith healers and their adherents who congregate here each year with their assorted ailments in the hope of being cured. The city market has a good selection of handicrafts – baskets, textiles and jewelry.

  • Day 3-4 Sagada (2B)

    Travelling into the mountain province of the Northern Philippines we reach Sagada. Popular as a destination for adventurers, Sagada takes us into the world of the local Igorot people, a people know for their weaving and the unusual burial system of their ancestors- hanging and stacking coffins, hewed from tree trunks, in the limestone karst cliffs and caves near town. Opt to visit the hanging coffins the area is famous for. Free afternoon for more hiking or a caving excursion.

    The natural beauty of the area features caves that can be explored, hikes along an underground river system, a waterfall and delightful pool to cool off in after a day of exploring, and a quiet serenity only found off the beaten path. This is a place to sit back, relax and just enjoy.

  • Day 5 Banaue (1B)

    Hop into a jeepney and head south to beautiful Banaue, known for its many rice terraces. Free time to trek along the terraces or relax.

    Sometimes called the ‘Eighth Wonder of the World’, the Banaue Rice Terraces have been named a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built 2,000 years ago by the Ifugaos and still in use today, the terraces are irrigated by mountain streams that have been channeled into canals running downhill through the rice terraces, reaching an altitude of 1500m.

  • Day 6-7 Batad (2B,1D)

    Travel via jeepney and foot on local hiking trails to reach a local village for an overnight homestay experience to discover the daily lives of the Ifugao people in one of the local villages. Enjoy a cultural performance and a local dinner.

    The trekking here can be challenging, especially in inclement weather. If you don’t feel fit enough for the activity, your CEO can help you organize some optional activities.

    The following day, return to Banaue for a free afternoon before boarding an overnight bus to Manila.

  • Day 8-9 Boracay (2B)

    Fly south from Manila and transfer to the breathtakingly gorgeous island of Boracay. White-sand beaches and bright, turquoise water await. Opt to go snorkelling, scuba diving, or just chill out on the beach.
