Relax under swaying palm trees then jump into crystal-clear waters—spend nine days island-hopping through the best of Southern Thailand. This trip varies with the seasons to make sure you get the best weather to work on your tan. So it’s either Krabi, island camping and the best of the west, or the east with Koh Tao’s diving and laid-back Ko Phangan. Get geared up for adventure or unwind on the islands’ beaches—it’s your choice.
  • Day 1 Bangkok

    Today is arrival day so there are no activities planned. You are free to relax, explore the city & adjust to the frantic pace and humid heat of Bangkok. Please arrive at our start point hotel before 6pm for an important group meeting where you will meet you Chief Experience Officer (CEO) and the other group members. Please look for a sign on the hotel’s notice board for the time and location of your group meeting. At this meeting your CEO will ask to sight your travel insurance. After your meeting, you may choose to head out for an optional dinner to further get to know your CEO and fellow group members. We spend this evening in Bangkok. Our hotel is located in China Town, next to the central train station and MRT (Subway), and is only a short USD2 taxi ride from Khao San road and the central shopping area of Siam Square, MBK, Siam Paragon, etc. All rooms are double or twin share with air conditioning and en suite bathroom. The hotel has a small pool and wifi and computers are available at extra cost.

  • For trips that run from May-Oct , East Coast

    (While it is our intention to adhere to the route described below during the designated seasons, please note that trips that are in April/May and October/November may be changed to the opposite itinerary due to weather conditions. Our goal is to visit the area with the best optimal weather conditions.)

  • Day 2-3 Koh Samui (2B)

    After our short flight on day 2, we arrive in Koh Samui. Lying off of Thailand’s east coast in the Gulf of Thailand, Koh Samui offers everything you could possibly want in a beach retreat: white sandy beaches, coconut palms, fresh seafood and warm, clear waters. With an area of 247 square kilometers, Koh Samui is the largest island in an archipelago of around 80 islands. Like Phuket, Koh Samui attracts many visitors but still has plenty of out-of-the-way spots for those wishing to get away from it all. We stay for 2 nights in a resort in Koh Samui. Our resort is located a stone’s throw away from the beach and has all the amenities that you may require, including a bar and swimming pool. All of our rooms are twin share and come with an en suite bathroom and free wifi. Approx travel time: Bangkok hotel to airport: 45 minutes. Flight to Koh Samui: 1 hour Transfer from Koh Samui Airport to the hotel: 40 minutes.

  • Day 4-5 Koh Phangan (2B)

    A short boat ride take us to the small island of Koh Pha Ngan where we have the next few days to explore the islands waterfalls, swim in its lagoons or just relax. Koh Phangan is also internationally famous for the full moon party which take place on the island beach. Thousands of Thais and foreigners flood to this island to enjoy the festivities. But you do not have to be on this island during the full moon to enjoy the nightlife, Koh Phangan has plenty to enjoy all year around. We stay for 2 nights in Koh Phangan. Our accommodation is basic huts right on Bottle Beach. All of the rooms are twin or double share and come equipped with an en suite bathroom. Approx Travel Time: Koh Samui hotel to ferry terminal: 20 minutes. Ferry to Koh Phangan: 30 minutes. Transport from Koh Phangan ferry to the hotel: 20 minutes.

  • Day 6-8 Koh Tao (3B)

    We leave Koh Samui and take a ferry once again over to Koh Tao. The reputation of Koh Tao’s natural beauty, especially its marine life and coral reefs, has spread the world over. Spend your days discovering sea-life and the night partying at one of the many beach-side cafes and bars. On day 8 we transfer to the mainland by boat where travel to the train station to board an overnight train to Bangkok. You could even take this opportunity to dive in one of the top ten diving spots in the world. If you have your Padi license bring it along, or if not take this opportunity for a learner’s dive. We will stay for two nights in Koh Tao at a resort which is located on the southern tip of Koh Tao on Chalook Baan Kao Beach. The resort has all the amenities that you will require including a swimming pool, bar and hotel restaurant. All of the rooms are twin share and come equipped with an en suite bathroom. Free wifi is available at the resort. On day 8 we will transfer by boat to Chumporn where we board our overnight train to Bangkok. Tonight’s accommodation is an overnight sleeper train. Beds are dormitory style, with bunks on two layers along the side of the train carriage. There are curtains along each bunk for privacy. Your luggage will be accessible during the journey. The train has air-conditioning and clean bedding is provided for each bunk. There are both western style and asian style toilets at the end of each carriage. The overnight train is very comfortable and food is served on board the train at a reasonable price for anybody who requires it. Approx travel times: Koh Phangan hotel to the ferry terminal: 20 minutes. Ferry to Koh Tao: 1.5 hours. Koh Tao ferry terminal to the hotel: 15 minutes each way. Ferry Koh Tao to Chumporn: 2 hours – depending on the boat. Overnight train from Chumporn to Bangkok train station: 7 hours.

  • Day 9 Bangkok

    Our train will arrive in Bangkok early in the morning. Your tour ends at the train station, where your CEO can help you arrange onward transport. To explore more of the sights around Bangkok, book some post trip accommodation and take in some of the temples, life on the river or even head North on a trekking trip with us. Thailand is extremely diverse and there is always more to see! If you are leaving Bangkok today we recommend that you do not book onward travel until after 3pm, in case of train delays.   • Day 2-3 Krabi (2B)

    We fly to Krabi and transfer to the beach town of Ao Nang (Krabi Province) where we check into our guest house, you will soon discover why Thailand is so famous for its beaches. Our guesthouse is in Ao Nang, close to the beach and provides a perfect spot to mellow out and relax. Weather permitting, you can take a longtail boat out to some of the beautiful islands and snorkel the reefs that have made southern Thailand so famous. In the evening grab a cocktail and watch the sun set over the Andaman Sea. Your Chief Experience Officer (CEO) will fill you in on all the other interesting options – such as sea kayaking and rock climbing – that are available in the area. This is the perfect place to get active or simply chill out and relax! We will stay for two nights in Ao Nang in a comfortable guesthouse. All of the rooms are double or twin share and come equipped with an ensuite bathroom. Free wifi is available in this hotel. Approx travel times: Transport from Bangkok hotel to the airport: 45 minutes. Flight from Bangkok to Krabi: 1 hour 20 minutes. Transfer from Krabi airport to hotel: 25 minutes.

  • Day 4 Koh Mook (B)

    Today we leave Ao Nang and head for the more remote island of Koh Mook. A drive of around 2 hours takes us to a pier where we catch a local motorboat ride to the small island of Koh Mook. Explore the nearby Emerald cave and swim in the lagoons. Koh Mook is a less travelled destination and has pristine beaches where you can lay in the shade of coconut palms and truly relax. Accommodation here is provided in a very simple, basic bungalow with a fan, a short distance from the beach. All of our rooms in Koh Mook are twin or double share with en suite bathroom. Approx travel time: Drive from Ao Nang to the pier: 2 hours Motorboat from pier to Koh Mook: 1 hour.

  • Day 5-8 Andaman Sea/ Koh Rok (3B,2L,2D)

    Using the beautiful island of Koh Rok as our base we board our long-tail boat and head out for 2.5 days of cruising around the Andaman Sea exploring white sandy beaches and coral bays. We camp under the stars for 2 nights enjoying the relaxed pace of the South. The long-tail boat carries basic snorkeling equipment for you to use but you may want to bring your own. Our accommodation while cruising the Andaman Sea is camping. You will be provided with all of your basic camping needs whilst on this portion of the trip. You may want to make sure that you have are carrying a flashlight and mosquito repellant. Some people like to bring inflatable mattresses on this journey. For safety our campsites are located inland and not on the beach. On day 7 we return to our accommodations on Koh Mook. On day 8 we will catch the overnight train from Trang to Bangkok. Tonight’s accommodation is an overnight sleeper train. Beds are dormitory style, with bunks on two layers along the side of the train carriage. There are curtains along each bunk for privacy. Your luggage will be accessible during the journey. The train has air-conditioning and clean bedding is provided for each bunk. There are both western style and asian style toilets at the end of each carriage. Food and drinks are served on the train but you can always bring your own food from the stalls near the train station. Approx travel time: Train from Trang to Bangkok: 13-14 hours

  • Day 9 Bangkok

    Arrive in morning at the train station to bid farewell to everyone. Your tour ends at the train station, where your CEO can help you arrange onward transport. To explore more of the sights around Bangkok, book some post trip accommodation and take in some of the temples, life on the river or even head North on a trekking trip with us. Thailand is extremely diverse and there is always more to see! If you are leaving Bangkok today we recommend that you do not book onward travel until after 3pm, in case of train delays.
