We’ve tweeted, Instagramed, Facebooked and blogged all about our VisitBritain mini-series and it is finally here!
In case, you’ve been living in a box, or spent your summer beachin’ it, let us fill you in…we sent STA Travel’s friend and talented hip-hop artist Andy Bothwell, better known to his fans as Astronautalis, to Britain for a wild adventure with Aussie reality TV star Tully Smyth. The two joined forces to create a YouTube mini-series and did everything from experiencing Beattlemania in Liverpool to swimming in Bath and even hung out with Manchester United.
Because the videos are likely to create a huge spike in visually transmitted FOMO – we’re giving away a free round-trip flight to the UK when you answer any questions about Astronautalis’ adventures abroad. There’s one question per video and every question answered correctly gives you another chance to win! Be the first to know when the next video and question are up and subscribe to our YouTube channel.
You can watch all the highs and lows of Astronautalis’ antics across the pond on the STA Travel YouTube channel, but we’ve got the first video right here!
Londontown is full of epic adventures, so of course it was the first stop on our VisitBritain ‘WildCard’ adventure with Astronautalis. Our musically inclined travel insider ventured to Westminster Abbey, St. Paul’s Cathedral, The Shard London Bridge, Shakespeare’s Globe Theater and even played flower salesman for a bit at the historical Columbia Road Flower Market.
No one knows London like the locals. No one. So, Astronautalis teamed up with Alex from London’s Street Art and Graffiti Tours to get down and dirty with the street art scene.
After some graffiti exploration, our traveling musician ditches traditional fish and chips and opts for some real British grub, Yorkshire Pudding to be exact, at The People’s Park Tavern with photog pros Jill and Kyla, better known on Instagram as Our Wild Abandon.
Alright, we’ve told you enough, now watch the adventure unfold.
