Adventure from one fascinating cultural sight to another on this 17 day tour of China’s incredible sights! You’ll be awe-struck by the famous Terracotta Warriors in Xi’an and hike through the dramatic Wutai Shan, the Five Terrace Mountains. By the time you tour Beijing’s Forbidden City and Chengde’s Imperial City, you’ll wonder how it took you this long to visit.
  • Day 1-2 Xi’an

    Start your journey by coming face to face with the Terracotta Warriors in Xi’an, then enjoy a free afternoon visiting the pagodas, cycling over the city walls and wandering around the Muslim Quarter.

  • Day 3-5 Yan’an / Lijiashan

    It’s now time for the historically important town of Yan’an where you’ll get the chance to brush up on your knowledge at the Revolution Museum. Get your beauty sleep in a cave room tonight
    at the ancient village of Lijiashan, famed for its settlement of cave dwellers and still home to more than 600 families.

  • Day 6-9 Pingyao / Wutai Shan

    It’s an early start this morning as you set off for a visit to the Black Dragon Temple before arriving in China’s best-preserved ancient walled town of Pingyao. You’ll then be whisked off for some fresh
    mountain air in the stunning area of Wutai Shan.

  • Day 10-12 Datong / Jinshanling

    Drive to the city of Datong visiting the Hanging Monastery en-route, then get ready to explore the stunning Yungang Caves. Your next stop is the awe-inspiring Great Wall of China at Jinshanling.

  • Day 13-17 Chengde / Beijing

    Spend the morning strolling along the Great Wall before driving to Chengde to visit the Puning Temple and the Bishu Shanzhuang. Your final port of call is China’s capital Beijing, where you’ll take a guided tour of the Forbidden City. Spend your last afternoon as free as a bird, taking in the sights, sounds and flavours of Beijing.
