What is more fun than rolling down a hill? Rolling down a hill in a giant plastic orb, of course!

Introducing, “Zorbing”, the New Zealand sport that is taking the world by storm. Inspired by the hamster ball and influenced by sumo wrestling, this sport is the ultimate outdoor adventure activity.

The zorb is constructed with one small ball layered inside the bigger ball – this helps provide more cushion and support for the person inside the small ball. You can then run or roll till your heart’s content! Zorbs are best used when you are running at another zorb, or when rolling down a slight hill. We do not recommend zorbing down a large hill, or zorbing without properly trained supervisors.

There are plenty of places to go zorbing in New Zealand, but the best place to get your zorb on is its birthplace – Rotorua.
